Pendant l'épidémie de coronavirus (COVID-19)

Alors que la nouvelle maladie à coronavirus (COVID-19) se propage dans le monde et aux États-Unis, notre communauté professionnelle et nos décideurs politiques, les parents d’intention, les donneurs, les mères porteuses, le réseau des acteurs de la P.M.A. et le public en général, cherchent des conseils sur la manière dont ceux qui subissent ou prévoient un traitement contre l'infertilité, devrait se poursuivre étant donné les interdictions de voyager liées au COVID-19 et d'autres avis de santé publique.

Faire appel à la P.M.A. est naturellement stressant et émotionnellement difficile, et nécessite une planification solide, des dépistages médicaux et des dépenses importantes en temps et en argent. Pour les mères porteuses, les donneurs et les  parents d’intention, la pandémie ajoute un autre élément d'incertitude et de préoccupation - à l'un des moments les plus importants de leur vie. Parce que des informations claires, précises, en temps voulu, sont l'un des meilleurs outils pour nous protéger et protéger nos clients, nous vous écrivons pour partager les meilleures informations dont nous disposons actuellement.

Nous vous encourageons tous à également vous conformer aux instructions des services de santé locaux et d' État et à vous tenir au courant des dernières directives et mises à jour publiées par le CDC et les sites Web de la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) des États-Unis concernant l'évolution de la pandémie du COVID-19.

Les restrictions de voyage et les périodes de quarantaine liées au COVID-19 pourraient empêcher les PARENTS D’INTENTION faisant appel à une mère porteuse de rejoindre leur nouveau-né en temps voulu. Par conséquent, nous encourageons fortement tous les parents d’intention et les juristes, les organisations et les programmes qui facilitent ces arrangements à prendre rapidement les mesures nécessaires pour identifier les familles qui pourraient être ainsi affectées et mettre en place des mesures d’urgence.

Ces mêmes restrictions de voyage et de quarantaine peuvent entraîner des retards dans le dépistage médical prévu et les procédures médicales pour les MERES PORTEUSES ET LES DONNEURS.

Certaines interdictions de voyager émises par les gouvernements fédéraux, étatiques et locaux peuvent autoriser des exceptions pour les personnes ayant de la famille proche dans la zone touchée. De même, le décret présidentiel américain (mis à jour le 11 mars 2020) stipule que l'interdiction de voyager ne s'appliquera PAS à tout étranger non résident qui est le parent ou le tuteur légal ou le frère d'un citoyen Américain ou d'un résident permanent légal. Par conséquent, IFLG rédigera volontiers une lettre pour nos clients expliquant la nécessité d'un tel voyage, comme pour les parents d’intention qui doivent voyager pour être présents à la naissance de leur enfant. Cependant, gardez à l'esprit que ces lettres ne garantissent pas la capacité de voyager, car les décrets exécutifs et autres décrets gouvernementaux dans cette situation peuvent être modifiés sans préavis.

Les futurs parents peuvent également envisager de voyager plus tôt si cela est possible.

Les plans d'urgence pour les parents d’intention devraient également inclure la mise en place de tuteurs temporaires, de secours et/ou des procurations en matière de soins de santé désignant un autre adulte responsable pour s'occuper de leur(-s) enfant(-s) à la naissance si les parents d’intention sont contaminés ou empêchés de voyager. Les futurs parents sont vivement encouragés à confirmer auprès de leurs tuteurs désignés qu'ils sont prêts, disposés et disponibles (et ne sont pas également concernés par une interdiction de voyager). Si les parents d’intention n'ont pas signé ces documents, ou si ces documents ont été signés mais qu’ils doivent être mis à jour pour une raison quelconque (y compris l'indisponibilité du (des) tuteur (-s) initialement sélectionné (-s)), veuillez contacter IFLG pour discuter notre engagement pour ce service.

Si vous devez voyager:

Peiya relocated back to her hometown, Beijing, China in 2019 and works from IFLG’s Beijing office.
